In 1954, Josef Schörghuber (1920-1995) founded a property development and real estate company in Munich. At the end of the fifties, he entered the aircraft business, laying the foundation for today's Aircraft Leasing division. At the same time, he discovered Majorca as a new focal point for business activities. In 1969, he launched himself in the hotel business when he assumed responsibility for managing the Arabellahaus in Munich. At the end of the seventies, Schörghuber seized an opportunity to enter into the beer business by buying the Hacker-Pschorr and Paulaner breweries.
Hausbau
A change of generation in 1995: After the death of his father, Stefan Schörghuber, who had been active in the company since 1984, focusing on hotels and cable cars, took over the Group and continued the structuring process already begun. He has increased the strength of the Corporate Group with international cooperations in the hotel and beverage sectors and has opened up new, international markets in Switzerland, Austria and South Africa. After the sudden death of Stefan Schörghuber in 2008, responsibility for managing the group was assumed by his wife Alexandra Schörghuber, as chairwoman of the foundation board, and Dr. Klaus N. Naeve, as chairman of the executive board.
